Get PUK code & Reset PIN number :Dialog | MobiTel | Etisalat | Hutch | Airtel Srilanka

Each SIM card has its unique default PUK code and it can be provided only by respective mobile network.So, do not try any PUK generating software online.

Dialog, Mobitel, Etisalat, Hutch, Airtel  are the leading mobile network providers in Srilanka. The SIM cards provided by these networks are equipped with a PIN number to ensure security of the customers.

If you enter the PIN code wrongly for three times, then the phone will be locked and ask for PUK code. If you enter PUK code wrongly for 10 times, then the SIM will be permanently blocked and you have to buy a new SIM .

So, In order to retrieve your PUK code and reset the PIN number , follow the procedure provided below for your network.

>Dialog

By default the PIN number for all Dialog SIM cards will be 531531 . But now if it is locked , then you have to reset.

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

If you are calling from another Dialog mobile, then call 1777 and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

If you are calling from landline ,other network or from other country then call +94 777 676 576

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally

>MobiTel

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

If you are calling from another M1 mobile, then call 1717  and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

If you are calling from landline ,other network or from other country then call +94 712755777

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally.

>Etisalat

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

If you are calling from another Etisalat mobile, then call 123 or 1727  and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

If you are calling from landline ,other network or from other country then call +94 72 212 3123

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally

>Hutch

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

If you are calling from another Hutch mobile, then call 1788  and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

If you are calling from landline ,other network or from other country then call +94 785 785 785

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally

>Airtel

• calling from another Airtel  mobile, then call 555  and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.
• If you are calling from landline ,other network or from other country then call +94 755 555 555
3. Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.
4. Reset your PIN number with new one.
5. Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally.

If you are using smartphones, try to avoid using PIN code of SIM card .Better use some App locking application like Applock, 360 security .You can securely download them from Google play store for free of cost.

Etisalat : Transfer credit from Etisalat to Etisalat | Etisalat PIN code for Credit transfer

It is very easy to transfer talk time credit balance in Etisalat UAE.

This guide helps you to send money from Etisalat to Etisalat number.

Step 1: Before transferring amount you need to know your PIN code for transferring credit. This can be known freely by sending an sms CPIN to 1010

Now you will receive your PIN code. Note it down.

Step 2:  In your Etisalat mobile phone, dial the USSD code *100*Receiver’s mobile number*Amount to be transferred#

For example, if you want to send 9 AED to your friend’s Etisalat mobile number 0503569963 , then you have to dial *100*0503569963*9# and press call button.

Step 3: Now Enter the PIN code you have received through SMS as described in step 1

Step 4: Now A confirmation message will be displayed and request you to press 1 to confirm the transfer. SO press 1 and click send button.

You are done. Now you and your Etisalat friend will receive a SMS that credit has been transferred, received respectively

Points to Remember:

• You can transfer credit from all GSM Post-paid and Prepaid Etisalat SIM.
• You can transfer credit only to Etisalat prepaid customers.
• In order to renew any tossed prepaid SIM, you can use this credit transfer trick to renew that Etisalat mobile number
• If you have any failed transaction or extra amount debited, then contact toll free helpline number 101
• Minimum amount for credit transfer is 5 AED and maximum amount is 100 AED per day
• Per day you can do maximum of 20 transactions
• Commission fee of 5% will be deducted for each transfer. For example , If you transfer 5 AED, then commission fee of 0.5 AED will be deducted from your talk time balance.

Etisalat : Retrieve PUK code & Reset PIN number for locked SIM card

Every mobile network secure their SIM cards with a security code called PUK code.

If you enter the PIN number incorrectly for 3 times in your Etisalat mobile number, then the SIM will be locked and would ask for PUK code to unlock the SIM and to reset the PIN code.

If PUK code also entered wrongly for certain attempts, the SIM will be deactivated and user have to request new SIM card from Etisalat.

If your Etisalat SIM card is locked and asks for PUK code, then you can retrieve it using the following options.

From SIM card box

Yes. You are lucky, if you still keep your SIM card box in your table cupboard. You can find the PUK code information in the SIM card box itself.

If you scrapped or lost the box, just move for next method

Through Online

Go to official website of Etisalat UAE, log in my account page with your mobile number. But you may receive OTP to your mobile number. So, this method works for only active SIM card and doesn’t works for locked SIM card

Helpline from Etisalat mobile number

Call helpline number 500 (toll free – free of cost) of Etisalat from any other Etisalat number, speak with the customer care person and get your PUK code. He may asks for the SIM number, mobile number and some basic information about you to verify for security reasons.

Helpline from other mobile number or landline

If you need to call from other mobile network like DU, Warid telecom, Telco mobile number or land line phone, then dial 0111234500 and speak to the helpline person to retrieve your PUK code

Once you got the PUK code, note it down in a safe permanent place , enter it in the locked SIM card , reset your PIN code .Your phone will be unlocked now.

To avoid such PIN code lock issue, don’t use PIN number as screen lock code here after. Use some app like Applock , 360 security to lock your phone.
