To know the Current Balance , Validity and Renewal Date , use the following SMS procedure.

Method 1:

Step 1 : 

From your registered mobile number, type the following SMS shown in blue color.
          
             BV <smartcard no>

Step 2:

  • Now send it to one of the following number.
  •  96000 58585  or  58585
  • Normal call charges will be applicable for sending this SMS according to your mobile network tariff.

Method 2 :
  • This method is very easy and absolutely free of cost.
  • Take your SUN Direct DTH Remote in your hand and press My account button or Info Button.
  • Now your Balance, Current Plan , Validity and next renewal due date etc will be displayed in your TV screen.

DTH: Activate puthiya thalaimurai in Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV, Videocon D2H, Tata Sky, Sun Direct



Puthiya Thalaimurai is the leading Tamil news channel which is believed to be the only neutral Tamil news channel that does not support any leading political parties in Tamil Nadu.

Airtel DTH TV : Add or Remove/Deactivate Channels through SMS or Online , Remove HD channels

> Add a Specific Channel in Airtel DTH
  • To add or to subscribe a desired channel, then you have to first recharge for a-la-carte pack.
  • This pack costs around 150 Rupees per month.
  • Apart from this cost , for each channel you add , it will add cost as per the channel cost.
  • For example cost of Sony HD per month is 35 Rupees.
  • To add a specific channel send SMS from your Airtel Register mobile number ADD <Channel no.> to 54325
>Remove or Deactivate a Specific Channel, HD Channel
  • For removing a channel that is already subscribed you have to call the customer care to request to deactivate the channel .Find the customer care number for Airtel DTH here
  • You can also send an sms STOP to 54325 from your registered mobile number. SMS cost is 1.50 Rs per sms. Best way is to call customer care 121 from your Airtel mobile number.
>To check Airtel DTH Balance
  • From your registered mobile number dial *121# and choose Digital TV option to know your DTH account information like Balance, Validity, Due date for recharge , Subscribe new Channel etc
>New / Change Register Mobile Number

Airtel DTH Standard & HD : How to record Program and Store Using USB

Airtel DTH connection subscribers can enjoy recording the Programs and Movies . This is applicable for both Airtel DTH standard and HD connection.



To Record Program In Airtel DTH , Standard :

We can store maximum 500 GB of Video in Airtel DTH . It equals an approximate time of 750 hours of video in HD recording. For Standard version, we can save still more video content for same 500 GB.

If you want to record a Video, Just press Record button in the Airtel DTH remote.
To view the recorded videos , press My record button to view the list of recorded Videos.

If you want to delete or remove the old videos, You can set up in Automatic removal mode that deletes the Old video automatically. You can also manually delete the Videos by manual selection.

To Store Airtel DTH Program In USB :

In Airtel DTH set top box, you can find an additional USB port.But we can't transfer through USB port as it is disable by default.

The trick is little technical. You have to remove the DVR hard disk and connect it to the PC. You have to clone it fully in to the PC or in any External Hard disk which has 500 GB capacity. Then decrypt using Image decryption software to store the videos in usual avi or divx format into PC or laptop or External Hard disk.

Registering your mobile number with Dish TV DTH connection is very necessary and helpful at the time of adding new channels, to know recharge date etc through Dish TV SMS codes

To add a new channel in Dish TV
If you want to subscribe for a channel that is not available in your pack, then follow the below procedure.

From your registered mobile number send sms DISHTV ADD < CHANNEL CODE > and send it to 9250078787
Form a non –registered mobile send sms DISHTV ADD < CHANNEL CODE > < 11 DIGIT VC NO >

Before subscribing, confirm with the customer care of Dish TV whether it can be added in your base plan.

For example
  • if you want to subscribe for Star Cricket, then send sms DISHTV ADD 662 and send it to 9250078787
  • if you want to subscribe for Star Cricket, then send sms DISHTV ADD 520 and send it to 9250078787

You can see your favorite channel codes in your dish TV itself. The channel number in your TV is the channel code for SMS.

Dish TV DTH : Add, Remove/Deactivate Channels through SMS code, Online | Know Current Package | Know Recharge expiry date for Dish TV VC number

When you buy a dish TV DTH connection, then don’t forget to register your mobile number with Dish TV database.

This will help you in future to solve your complaints very quickly and adding a new channel to Dish TV pack that is not subscribed in your plan.
In specific, if you call to Dish TV customer care from any mobile , they will make you to wait for so many minutes by asking you to press 5, press 4 , press 9 etc. This may cost around minimum 10 to 15 rupees per call.
But if you have registered mobile number, you can send an SMS which just costs 2 Rupees and they will call you back from Dish TV to solve your problem


>How to find VC number of dish TV ?

  • Press my Account button in dish tv remote control. You can see 11 digit VC (Viewer Card) number in your television screen along with some other details
  • Otherwise, remove the Viewer Card from your dish tv set top box and note the 11 digit VC number printed in the card. You can neglect the number after hyphen symbol.
>Online Registration for Dish TV → Procedure ?

1.     First You have to register your mobile number with dish tv (explained in below step)
2.     Now go to http://www.dishtv.in/Pages/RegisterUser.aspx
3.     Provide your dish tv VC card number (refer above procedure)
4.     Provide your Registered Mobile number (RMN)
5.     Enter the OPT sent to your mobile number and click validate
6.     Now in User Details section, provide email id, password, security question, answer etc 
7.     Click Submit to finish the registration
Note: Corporate Subs/ FOC Subs/ Demo Subs/ OYC Subs are not allowed for online registration 

>To Register my Mobile Number with Dish TV

  • From your mobile number, send an SMS DISHTV RMN <11 DIGIT VC NUMBERto 57575 or 09250078787
  • You will get a confirmation message from Dish TV once you send the SMS from your mobile number.
  • To de-register mobile number from dish TV, you have to call dish TV customer care, 9250078787 and request to remove your mobile number from their database or register with another mobile number will delete the old one from Dish TV database.
  • It is not possible to register RMN number for Dish TV through online. The easiest way is to register with SMS method as mentioned above.
>To check Dish TV Recharge Expiry date
  1. To check dish tv expiry date online, visit dishtv.in and click Instant recharge and Enter your VC card number. Now your expiry date will be displayed
  2. You can know the Recharge due date by pressing Myaccount button in Dish TV remote. All details related to your Dish TV connection like Recharge due date, last recharge date, recharged amount, vc number etc will be displayed in your screen.
  3. If you need to know recharge due date through SMS, then from your registered mobile number send DISHTV RECHARGE DATE <11 DIGIT VC NUMBER> to 09250078787 or 57575
>To receive a call from Dish TV customer care

  • It will cost 10 to 15 rupees if you call to Dish TV customer care.Instead , from your registered mobile number just send an SMS  CALL ME to 09250078787 or 57575
  • If you subscribed for free national SMS pack, there is no cost for this SMS.
>To remove 11 digit VC number appear on dish TV screen

  • For dish TV, the 11 digit VC number will appear on difference locations randomly in frequent time intervals. This is to avoid recording of the TV screen or trace who records the screen.
  • It is not possible to remove the 11 digit number on screen unless you have access to the set top box coding.

>To extend the validity of dish tv through missed call number

  • When you receive notification for due date, you can give missed call to 1800-274-9050 to extend the validity of your dish tv for 3 days.
  • You have to give the missed call from your registered mobile number
  • The dish TV will be deactivated after 3 days and you have to recharge it as usual.


If you have free national SMS pack in your mobile, then SMS to 09250078787 is free of cost.
  • Otherwise the network will cost Rs 2 per SMS for BSNL and MTNL .
  • Rs 1.5 per SMS for all other networks including Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone, Loop, Idea cellular, Reliance, Videocon and Tata DoCoMo.


Airtel DTH Digital TV: Solve Error Code B001 , Code 2 , Code 4 , Code 6 in Airtel digital TV

Error codes will be displayed in Airtel DTH Digital Dish TV connection sometimes. The subscribers would face four main errors with error messages and codes in the TV screen. Expand the below error codes that appears in your screen to know the solution and troubleshooting for specific error codes.


>Airtel DTH : Error Code B0001

  • If you see an error in the TV screen like “NO SIGNAL (Error B0001) , then the main reason for this Error may be
    • Bad weather conditions like Heavy Rainfall, Dense Cloud surroundings etc. We have to wait until the weather condition to become normal. This is the great drawback of every DTH TV.
    • If the sky is clear without any rainfall, then you have to check further options  like
    • Check whether are cables are in Proper condition without any fault ,
    • Check all connectors in Set top Box are fitted properly without loose connections . Check the connections and restart the set top box.
    • Check whether there is any obstacle or huge things that cover in front of dish tv antenna

>Airtel DTH: Error Code 2

  • If you receive error in the screen like “Viewing card is not inserted properly in Set top box (Error Code : 2) “, then the reason should  be the problem with Airtel DTH viewing card.

How to Insert Airtel Dish TV card:

    • Take the viewing card out from the set top box and gently clean it with a soft cloth and look whether there is any scratches in the chip area. Now, Carefully insert the viewing card , with the Chip facing in downward direction and Restart the Set top Box.
  • Still the problem continues, then you have to contact Airtel DTH customer care to replace the Viewing CARD.

>Airtel DTH: Error Code 4

  • If you receive error in the screen like “The Channel is not Subscribed by you (Error Code :4)”, then obviously you did not subscribe for the channel or the channel is not included in your recharge pack.
    But if you think the channel is subscribed by you, then contact customer care to avail this channel.

>Airtel DTH: Error Code 6

  • If you see error in screen like “Account is suspended due to low balance (Error Code: 6)” , then you have to recharge your DTH card as you reached the recharge due date already.
    Sometimes , it will take maximum one day to activate the channels pack, so we have to wait until to see the subscribed pack.
    After one day, if the problem continues, you can call customer care number to know the status of the recharge.
