Airtel DTH : To Know Current Package | Renewal Date

Airtel DTH is one of the leading DTH network provider in India .



To know the Current Balance , Validity and Renewal Date , use the following SMS procedure.

Method 1:

From your registered mobile number dial *121# and choose Digital TV option to know your DTH account information like Balance, Validity, Due date for recharge , Subscribe new Channel etc

Method 2 :
  • This method is very easy and absolutely free of cost.
  • Take your Airtel DTH Remote in your hand and press My account button or Info Button.
  • Now your Balance, Current Plan , Validity and next renewal due date etc will be displayed in your TV screen.

DTH: Activate puthiya thalaimurai in Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV, Videocon D2H, Tata Sky, Sun Direct



Puthiya Thalaimurai is the leading Tamil news channel which is believed to be the only neutral Tamil news channel that does not support any leading political parties in Tamil Nadu.



The channel is started by the SRM group. As IJK party had been started by SRM founder , it had been noticed that the channel has tried to popularize the party during the time of Tamil Nadu state election.

Airtel DTH TV : Add or Remove/Deactivate Channels through SMS or Online , Remove HD channels

This article helps you to add a specific channel in Airtel DTH,remove,Deactivate channels, Account Information , and registering your mobile number .If you are dish tv user, refer here. Else continue in this page.


> Add a Specific Channel in Airtel DTH
  • To add or to subscribe a desired channel, then you have to first recharge for a-la-carte pack.
  • This pack costs around 150 Rupees per month.
  • Apart from this cost , for each channel you add , it will add cost as per the channel cost.
  • For example cost of Sony HD per month is 35 Rupees.
  • To add a specific channel send SMS from your Airtel Register mobile number ADD <Channel no.> to 54325
>Remove or Deactivate a Specific Channel, HD Channel
  • For removing a channel that is already subscribed you have to call the customer care to request to deactivate the channel .Find the customer care number for Airtel DTH here
  • You can also send an sms STOP to 54325 from your registered mobile number. SMS cost is 1.50 Rs per sms. Best way is to call customer care 121 from your Airtel mobile number.
>To check Airtel DTH Balance
  • From your registered mobile number dial *121# and choose Digital TV option to know your DTH account information like Balance, Validity, Due date for recharge , Subscribe new Channel etc
>New / Change Register Mobile Number 
  • Call Customer care of Airtel DTH from any Airtel mobile number and register your mobile number or change it by speaking to the customer care person.
  • Registering your mobile number will be very much useful in times of emergency to add channels, check balance etc.

Airtel DTH Standard & HD : How to record Program and Store Using USB

Airtel DTH connection subscribers can enjoy recording the Programs and Movies . This is applicable for both Airtel DTH standard and HD connection.



To Record Program In Airtel DTH , Standard :

We can store maximum 500 GB of Video in Airtel DTH . It equals an approximate time of 750 hours of video in HD recording. For Standard version, we can save still more video content for same 500 GB.

If you want to record a Video, Just press Record button in the Airtel DTH remote.
To view the recorded videos , press My record button to view the list of recorded Videos.

If you want to delete or remove the old videos, You can set up in Automatic removal mode that deletes the Old video automatically. You can also manually delete the Videos by manual selection.

To Store Airtel DTH Program In USB :

In Airtel DTH set top box, you can find an additional USB port.But we can't transfer through USB port as it is disable by default.

The trick is little technical. You have to remove the DVR hard disk and connect it to the PC. You have to clone it fully in to the PC or in any External Hard disk which has 500 GB capacity. Then decrypt using Image decryption software to store the videos in usual avi or divx format into PC or laptop or External Hard disk.

Airtel DTH Digital TV: Solve Error Code B001 , Code 2 , Code 4 , Code 6 in Airtel digital TV

Error codes will be displayed in Airtel DTH Digital Dish TV connection sometimes. The subscribers would face four main errors with error messages and codes in the TV screen. Expand the below error codes that appears in your screen to know the solution and troubleshooting for specific error codes.


>Airtel DTH : Error Code B0001

  • If you see an error in the TV screen like “NO SIGNAL (Error B0001) , then the main reason for this Error may be
    • Bad weather conditions like Heavy Rainfall, Dense Cloud surroundings etc. We have to wait until the weather condition to become normal. This is the great drawback of every DTH TV.
    • If the sky is clear without any rainfall, then you have to check further options  like
    • Check whether are cables are in Proper condition without any fault ,
    • Check all connectors in Set top Box are fitted properly without loose connections . Check the connections and restart the set top box.
    • Check whether there is any obstacle or huge things that cover in front of dish tv antenna

>Airtel DTH: Error Code 2

  • If you receive error in the screen like “Viewing card is not inserted properly in Set top box (Error Code : 2) “, then the reason should  be the problem with Airtel DTH viewing card.

How to Insert Airtel Dish TV card:

    • Take the viewing card out from the set top box and gently clean it with a soft cloth and look whether there is any scratches in the chip area. Now, Carefully insert the viewing card , with the Chip facing in downward direction and Restart the Set top Box.
  • Still the problem continues, then you have to contact Airtel DTH customer care to replace the Viewing CARD.

>Airtel DTH: Error Code 4

  • If you receive error in the screen like “The Channel is not Subscribed by you (Error Code :4)”, then obviously you did not subscribe for the channel or the channel is not included in your recharge pack.
    But if you think the channel is subscribed by you, then contact customer care to avail this channel.

>Airtel DTH: Error Code 6

  • If you see error in screen like “Account is suspended due to low balance (Error Code: 6)” , then you have to recharge your DTH card as you reached the recharge due date already.
    Sometimes , it will take maximum one day to activate the channels pack, so we have to wait until to see the subscribed pack.
    After one day, if the problem continues, you can call customer care number to know the status of the recharge.
