This article will help you to get the PUK code (Codigo PUK) for your locked SIM card and reset your PIN number to make your mobile phone work again.

Movistar, Telcel, Unefon, Lusacell  are the leading mobile network providers in Mexico. The SIM cards provided by these networks are equipped with a PIN number to ensure security of the customers.

The SIM card of these mobile phone networks are inbuilt with 4 Digit PIN code and 8 Digit PUK code. PUK code is called as Personal Unlocking key and sometime PIN unlocking Key.

There are so many options to retrieve Movistar PUK code. Follow as per your convenience.

1. Through SMS : Send SMS PUK  to 1044 from any other Movistar mobile phone
2. Go to Mi Movistar webpage - Login with username password - In main menu select PUK/IMEI to view your PUK code
3. If you don't have login id, then you can go to official webpage and select option called view without password. You must give identity verification for this method.
4. If you have Movistar App, you can view your PUK there.

>Telcel

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

If you are calling from another Telcel mobile, from landlines ,other network or from other country then call

•  1-800-220-9518 for American customers
• *264 for Mexican customers. (From landline refer the contact us page in Telcel website)
•  And choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally.

>Unefon

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

If you are calling from another Unefon mobile, then call toll free customer care number for unefon and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally

>Lusacell

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

 Go to official website of Lusacell and chat online wiht customer care to get your puk code. Or

If you are calling from another Lusacell mobile, then call *611  and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

If you are calling from land line ,other network or from other country then call 01800 333 0611

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally

>Kölbi - Costa Rica

In a piece of paper, note down your SIM number printed on the SIM card.

 Go to official website of Kolbi and chat online with customer care to get your puk code. Or

If you are calling from another Kolbi mobile, then call 1193  and choose the option to unlock PUK or speak with customer care.

Note the PUK code provided and enter it in the locked phone.

Reset your PIN number with new one.

Now your phone will be unlocked and you can use it normally
